Activities 2011-2012
July 2012: I have recently accepted an adjunct position at the Art Institute of Dallas in Audio Production. Also, my work with the Kinect controller has been featured in Company View, an internal newsletter for employees of Microsoft. See the article here.
June 2012: Cornered has been selected for performance at the Houston Fringe Festival on September 14th and 15th.
May 2012: My new work, Kerosene will premiere as part of the 44th International Horn Symposium on May 16th.
April 2012: Ilana Morgan and I have been playing around with variations of our work, Cornered. Recently, we adapted the 40-minute installation version into a 25-minute concert performance. This form was featured at the University of North Texas on April 2nd in the College of Music. We are currently working on a 10-minute version to premiere in the fall.
March 2012: My new work, Cornered for dance and computer music with motion tracking using the Xbox Kinect, will be shown in installation form at the UNT on the Square gallery in Denton, Texas on March 29th at 8pm. The work features choreography by Ilana Morgan. http://untonthesquare.unt.edu/
February 2012: Collaborating with Ilana Morgan, dancer. Working on creating systems that use motion tracking in collaboration with computer-influenced networks. We are interested in creating a work that can exists in many forms ideal for performance in a variety of venues.
January 2012: Teaching at MIDI I, MIDI II, and Music Appreciation at Collin College this spring semester.
October 2011: Recording some really cool ensembles these days, including LaNovella Baroque, based in North Texas.

September 2011: I just began work on my dissertation- a composition for traverso, dancer, and computer music. I am interested in exploring modes of interaction and reaction amongst media while exploiting the roles these forces take on in attempt to communicate with each other.
